Tony Byrne loves his work. And when he’s having fun, it seems everyone at Southern Cross Austero Brisbane has fun with him. 

Yellow Couriers threw him a curly challenge recently. “We want everyone singing our praises” – their brief was clear and simple.

It got Tony’s creative juices flowing. 

He sat at his desk and penned a little ditty. Then he and his SCA Brisbane producer, Andrew Fritsch, hit the studio. While Tony did the bulk of the heavy lifting behind the mic, Andrew chimed in as his backup singer.

It wasn’t long before the whole floor at the open plan office started singing along.

Tony ticked off two personal achievements that day: writing and performing a performing a catchy tune that gets into your head, and, getting the word “Fugly” into a commercial.

It’s a day the station features no shows, no news, no traffic and no ads. Instead, they use the day to encourage important conversations – conversations that can save lives.

The sense of occasion is not lost on Tony Byrne. Tony was called to lend his considerable story telling skills to help get the message across.

Popular Brisbane voice professional, Tony Byrne, recently went all gangsta, rapping his way through a sixty second radio spot for Urbane Homes.

Proving he’s not only a versatile performer, the talented actor also wrote and produced the spot.

Professional voice actors, Tony Bryne, Elise Grieg and their talented daughter, Finley were recently asked to add their vocal talents to four Aussie episodes of the internationally acclaimed childrens’ cartoon, Peppa Pig. The trio were cast to play the Kangaroo Family, leading Peppa Pig on a trail of adventures to the beach, outback and the Great Barrier Reef.

The family appeared on Channel Seven’s The Morning Show to discuss their roles.
