For over 40 years, Ross has stood relatively anonymously behind the microphone, using his voice to inform, advise, sell and surmise.
So, what would happen if that voice and the person behind it was exposed in front of a live audience?
When the Government needed a voice for their COVID-19 Booster reminders, Ross Newth’s reassuring tone was just the shot in the arm they were looking for.
Back in 2015 Ross Newth’s son Josh asked if Ross could voice the part of ‘Narrator Man’ for a Three Little Pigs audio story he was creating for his daughter, Tess. As one of Brisbane’s most accomplished voice talents, and a doting grandfather, Ross jumped at the chance.

Mikee Joaquin has loads of creative flair. After making his home in Brisbane from the US, the colourful performer has developed quite a niche. His unique and quirky style was recently required to voice a series of e-learning videos for both Crayola and Colgate-Palmolive. While his natural rhythm and ability to move has been called upon to play the part of Dipsy… yes, the green Teletubby!
Chris Crickmay does his best work behind the mic and he loves a vocal challenge. And while every session with Chris is a lot of fun, clients are quick to acknowledge his versatility, entrusting him with serious and important messages too – such as these announcements for the Gold Coast City Council.
BrisVO’s Digby Gillings has an old head on young shoulders. And although he’s been plying his trade for quite some time now, we’re very sure it’s been nowhere near 100 years. However that didn’t stop him from tripping down Memory Lane with the guys at Triple M to reflect on radio’s centenary of aural hi-jinks
Todd started doing silly voices in the playground at age 11 and has rarely shut up since.
Nowadays he’s heard on commercials, promos, cartoons and other stuff right around the world.
Naturally rich, warm and deep, his voice is also extremely versatile, allowing him to have mastered a wide range of styles and characters.

Todd Levi loves to escape the city life when he can. He’s even got himself a few acres in the Northern Rivers Hinterland he often retires to. Modern living gives him the flexibility to work remotely. So when he gets the call to do a milk run for Dairy Farmers, or perhaps something more sales-sy for another brand, he can do it wherever he lays his hat.
This spot is one of a series of web TVCs Todd Levi has voiced for Norfolk Island through Brisbane based global content provider Tourism Media.
Big. Epic. Super supreme. Todd Levi dialled up the perfect balance of persuasion and performance for Domino’s latest spot.
Hugh Parker is an actor, writer and teacher.
He possesses an acute and intelligent ear, adept at finding the most engaging way to deliver a read. Whilst living in the UK, London recording studios were his second home.
Hugh excels at the straight, comedic, tone-filled and humble art of the recorded voice. Not so much voice-over as voice chaperone. Characters, impersonations and a splash of silliness complete the Parker package.
The versatile Hugh Parker is always pushing boundaries.
The in-demand performer avoids being typecast by playing by his own rules.
The prodigiously talented Hugh Parker is always in demand. The Queensland Ballet realised Hugh’s talent. They weren’t quite sold on his sauter, however their chairs did turn when they heard his voice; inviting him to narrate their recent interpretation of the classic tale, Peter and the Wolf.
Versatile Brisbane actor, Hugh Parker has been having fun lately. The prodigious homegrown talent has been plying his trade in the movies, on the stage and on the web!

Talented BrisVO artist Mikee Joaquin has been in high demand of late. The quirky and energetic artist has been rushing between studio and stage sessions all over the shop. To say his life’s a blur would be selling it short, tbh his world can be better described as completely Dipsy. Eh-oh!
Steven lives in Brisbane, works regularly in theatre and currently plays the evil King Zad in the hit US series Beastmaster.
His voice covers the spectrum of character, accents, narration. His distinct deep resonance has been widely used in the US, UK and New Zealand.
Graham Bond (Aunty Jack) affectionately calls him Four Balls. It’s all in the voice!

One of the founders of Brisvo Michael has been a voice artist since the 1990s learning the ropes from his father Grant Goldman.
Working in TV and radio for 20 he was the go to guy to voice promos and commercials when needed. Now he is used by some of the biggest brands in the world for his instinctual ability to follow direction and interpret a script.

From the Award Winning Meerkat Manor, to documentaries like Australia’s Arid Heart on Nat Geo, The Great Dividing range on Discovery, or The Guns That Changed the Game on Binge, Brisbane’s own Mike Goldman has long been the go-to-man for documentary voiceovers in Queensland.
So Mike’s agent gets a call from a lovely Spanish lady called Irene at FIBA, the international governing body of Basketball, because they’re looking for a live American voice for their USA broadcast of the Basketball World Cup.
Turns out, from the 100s of demos on offer, they wanted Mike Goldman! So, excitedly he packed his headphones and headed to Olympic Park for another big show at the Sydney Super Dome, AKA Qudos Bank Arena.
BrisVO original, Michael Goldman was recently thrown a drop-everyting-instant-voiceover challenge. Unfortunately for him, he was on a Citycat cruising into Brisbane at the time. Lucky he’s a man that thrives under pressure.
You do a lot of work in 30 odd years. Recent commercial clients have included Suncorp, Telfast, Lotto & Tourism Qld to name a few. As a voice actor I’ve been everything from a talking train to a T. Rex in 4 animated features and two series including Channel 9’s ‘The Shapies’.
Corporate clients include the Qld Govt,BBC, Thiess and Australian Government tourism.
My commercial style ranges from soft to hard sell and anywhere in between but I prefer soft emotional reads that tell a story.I like to think I have an intrinsic feel for a script

The creative guns at Rumble Brisbane recently took to the airwaves with a string of levity laiden TVCs and online activity to launch the ‘buy now, pay later’ brand Gimmie.
The tongue in cheek spots were intentionally created to disrupt the market, so the creators needed a voice performance from someone with a great sense of humour and impeccable timing. Enter Digby Gillings.

Paul is a much loved voice actor in the studios of Brisbane, a pilot, motorcyclist, father, actor and a long time broadcaster.
He comes to every session self contained and carrying with him a maturity of script interpretation that many will confirm they have not seen by anyone else standing behind a microphone.
He is the trusted “go to” man. The living mantra by which all creative writers quietly recite to themselves……”Paul can do that”. As an announcer of straight scripts you still get the tone of everyman. The guy on the street. He’s accessible, interested and concerned that what he’s saying must also be understood. His voice doesn’t sit above the audience booming like an all important message but lives amongst us.
Paul’s delivery is a voice over class. Writers and other talent would be well served taking a moment to listen to his inflection, energy, diction and self-editing skills.
When Paul gives you one more, it’s not a repeat but another look at how to get people listening and enjoying the performance. The term “voice artist” was invented to describe Paul Davies.
Earlier this year Paul channeled his inner Cockney and voiced a series of promos for the Hit Network’s ‘Ed to London with Carrie and Tommy’ competition – Hit’s first overseas competition since the pandemic.
Paul has quite a way with words. And accents.
Brisbane creative shop, Brother and Co. got a call up to show their wares on ABC’s ad show, Gruen. Their brief: Save our Bees. The Bro Co called in the persuasive Paul Davies to provide the narrative.
When Brisbane design studio, Flip Creative initiated their covert radio operation with Nova for the launch of a new trendy Valley bar, they sniffed out special agent Paul Davies, the man with a thousand tongues.

Experienced voice talent, sound technician, podcast producer. BrisVO’s Thomas Murray is living proof that when you select your talent wisely, you can get more than you bargained for.
In between commercial voice sessions, talented BrisVO voice artist Tom Murray has been producing a podcast series for Ipswich Libraries. The series, called “Stories for little Queenslanders’, involved Tom visiting a number of Ipswich primary schools…
When national gym franchise Fitstop decided to give their brand message a workout during the Super Bowl 2022 coverage, they knew Tom Murray was in the perfect shape to help give them a lift.
No nonsense, assertive and straight down to business. Tom really beasted it up.
